This was filmed for our first verse. When we put it in when editing we realised and was told that it was too long so we had to put something in between or cut it short. So instead of using this for the whole first verse we used a close up at the begining of the verse to introduce the artist.

Analysis of rough cut stills (Production)
This was filmed indoors, however when it came to editing our teachers noticed that most of our shots were filmed outside and that they looked better. So we took this out of our edit because it did not match the rest of the video shots.
We decided to use this shot in the second verse because like the first verse its an outdoor shot. Also because of the change in costume it adds variety to our video.

Analysis of at least one sequence from the rough cut- preferably one sequence that you intend to change in light of your feedback from your teacher (Production)
This shot was originally in the first verse which did not correspond with the rest of the first verse that was in a different location to this shot. So, we saved this shot for the second verse, which was more fitting because it went with the playful dimensions of the songs' lyrics.
With this shot we were advised that katherine should walk for less time, which will help to give the video added pace like the conventions of music videos. Therefore, we changed Katherine's walking length by her starting from a shorter length.
There needs to be a close up of this shot to fit with the conventions of music videos and have this shot for playing for less time because the audience will get bored quickly. Also, it was suggested that we have a close up of parts of Damon's body to introduce him more clearly to the storyline of the music video.
Analysis Of Rough Cut Stills
This is another still from our music video. In this shot, the still remains for a few seconds and this is very unconventional, especially for our music video as it is quite up beat.
In this still, we filmed the two characters in an indoor location which does not link in with our other footage as we filmed the rest of our footage outside. In order, we also placed this clip near the beginning at the chorus, this does not link well together as the location changes and the audience may get confused. In an typical music video, locations does not change until after the second verse.
Analysis of Rough Cut Stills
We used the shots in this location many times in the opening part of our rough cut. However, it made the video seem very green and quite boring. It also made it difficult to add any other shots that were filmed at a different location because they don't seem to fit in. For our final edit, we will try to improve the opening part to make it easier for us to include other shots. As Dan said, we do have a lot of shots and we have to be careful when putting them all together.
This shot was filmed at a house but we have decided not to include it in the final edit because all of our other footage is filmed outside and it does not go with the theme.
This shot was filmed for our second verse onwards. However in the rough cut, we found that it did not go well together with the shots in the beginning. However, we are going to use this in our final edit and make sure that the opening part is good to help make it easier to introduce this scene.
Teacher Feedback from Rough Cut (Production)
In response to Dan's feedback, we agree that we do not have many different shots that all particularly match well. For example, we shot footage inside Katherine's boyfriend's house but we did not use it because all of our other shots are in an outside location. We decided not to shoot regularly at Kensington Gardens because it was quite far from college. By the time we would have got there, we would have wasted an hour of filming time, so we did not think it was necessary. Dan stated the importance of mise en scene in the video, so we ensured that all the footage we use has nothing distracting in the background.

Location Shots (Planning)
The locations we actually did film at were:
- Duncan Terrace Park, Islington
- Pymmes Park
- Kensington Gardens (We did not use a lot of the footage)
- Green screen (We did not use the footage)
- Katherine's boyfriend's House (We did not use the footage)
Animatic Shots Filming On Set
When filming, we found some shots more difficult than others to do. For example, following the characters' feet as they were walking. This was hard because we had to use the camera without the tripod, hand held meant that it had to be very steady. For the first ten shots, we had drawn up a storyboard which did help us, after that we shot Katherine singing the song. We tried to make sure that we have a variety of shots including long shots and close -ups. Because Katherine's boyfriend was in the video, we found it easier to build a romance because Katherine didn't have to act and was being herself. This made the shots of them together more effective because they were really in love.

Teacher feedback
Hello group 14
Your blog is coming along nicely. I would like to see some of the photos that you've taken during the filming sessions up here, with a little bit of a commentary on how well the filming has gone and what you think has worked well/not so well.
Don't forget to put up your rough cut at the end of this week.
